Who we are
American Truck Centre is a dedicated US truck workshop at 46 Regent St, Caloundra QLD 4551, serving the Sunshine Coast from Caloundra to Noosa. We're run out of Revolution Autocare.
American truck mechanic vs general workshop
Why choose an American truck specialist
A general mechanic on the Sunshine Coast can usually service a HiLux or Ranger without issue — but a full-size US pickup is a different vehicle. Larger oil and coolant capacities, imperial fasteners, factory-level diagnostic protocols for Cummins, Duramax and Power Stroke engines, and right-hand-drive conversion-specific wiring all catch out workshops that only see the odd American truck a year. American Truck Centre works on RAM, Silverado, GMC and Ford F-Series every day — and we take on other American makes and models too — which means faster, more accurate diagnosis and fewer parts replaced on guesswork.
Correct tooling
Imperial sockets, factory-capacity fluid handling and hoists rated for three-tonne-plus trucks.
Manufacturer-level scan tools
Live data and bi-directional testing across Cummins, Duramax, Power Stroke and HEMI/EcoBoost platforms.
RHD conversion knowledge
We know where Australian remanufacturers changed steering, wiring and braking versus the US-spec truck.
Warranty-safe servicing
Logbook servicing to the manufacturer's schedule, documented, so your factory warranty stays intact.
What we do
Specialist services for US trucks
Logbook & Fixed-Price Servicing
American Truck Centre services RAM, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC and Ford F-Series American pickups to manufacturer schedules at Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast — not heavy commercial trucks, just full-size utes. Minor servicing is fixed price — $469 for 1500-series trucks and $599 for HD-series trucks — and every service keeps your new-vehicle warranty intact.
Learn more →Diagnostics & Fault Finding
We diagnose warning lights, electrical faults, limp modes and DPF problems on American pickups using manufacturer-level scan tools, then explain the root cause in plain English before any repair is authorised. This is dedicated RAM, Silverado, GMC and Ford F-Series diagnostic work in Caloundra — not generic ute or commercial-truck fault finding.
Learn more →Suspension & Lift Kits
We supply and fit suspension upgrades, lift kits and load-carrying springs for American pickups, then align them properly afterwards. The right setup depends on what the truck actually carries — a tourer with a slide-on camper needs a very different package to a daily driver on 35s.
Learn more →Airbags & Load Support
Airbag helper kits sit inside or alongside your rear springs and let you dial in extra support when you hitch up a van, then let it out when you're empty. They are the fastest fix for a truck that squats under tow ball weight while still riding well unloaded.
Learn more →Towing Capacity & GVM Setup
American trucks are bought to tow, but the number on the brochure is rarely the number that matters. Your real limit is whichever of GVM, GCM, axle rating or tow ball download you hit first — we weigh, assess and set your truck up so you tow legally and safely from Caloundra and across the Sunshine Coast.
Learn more →Transmission Service & Repair
Automatic transmissions in American pickups are strong but heat-sensitive. Regular fluid and filter servicing with the correct specification fluid is the single cheapest way to avoid a five-figure rebuild, especially on a truck that tows.
Learn more →Tuning & Performance
Most owners who ask about tuning actually want the truck to feel better under load — earlier torque, calmer gear hunting and steadier temperatures while towing. We tune for driveability and towing first, headline numbers second, on RAM, Silverado, GMC and Ford F-Series pickups only — not commercial trucks.
Learn more →Driveline, Diffs & Transfer Case
Diff and transfer case oils do the hardest work in a towing truck and are the most commonly neglected fluids on the vehicle. Servicing them is inexpensive; replacing a chewed-out differential is not.
Learn more →GVM & GCM Upgrades
A GVM upgrade legally increases how much your loaded truck may weigh; a GCM upgrade increases the combined truck-plus-trailer figure. We assess your real weights, recommend the right engineered kit and fit it at Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.
Learn more →DPF Cleaning & Diesel Emissions
We diagnose, force-regenerate and clean blocked diesel particulate filters on RAM Cummins, Duramax and Power Stroke pickups in Caloundra, and fix the underlying cause — usually EGR, sensor or driving-pattern related — so it does not simply block again.
Learn more →Wheel Alignment & Tyres
Full-size American pickups need alignment equipment rated for their weight and track width. We align RAM, Silverado, GMC and Ford F-Series trucks in Caloundra — standard, lifted and load-corrected — and supply light-truck-rated tyres to suit.
Learn more →Upgrades & Accessories
We supply and fit touring and work upgrades to American pickups at Caloundra — brake controllers, dual battery systems, lighting, bar work, tow gear and load support — all wired and mounted to suit the truck's factory electronics.
Learn more →Fixed-price servicing
No surprises. Premium Penrite oil, OE-grade filters, a full safety inspection and your logbook stamped.
